2010-11
News:
Cluxewe
Cafe. The cafe is now closed for the season. It will re-open in the summer of 2012.
Tri Port Music Festival. The first outdoor music festival in Northern Vancouver Island took place at Cluxewe Resort (near the pavillion) on July 2, 2011. Music from a variety of local bands and groups from Victoria and the Comox Valley was featured. The concert sold out and - despite and sometimes soggy conditions - the crowd loved the music.
Annual BC Day Festival. This event, which took place this year on July 31, 2011 was fun for young and old! See the photos of the 6th Annual
Bocce Ball Tournament here.
Our Current Rack Card
is a Work of Art. Take a look!
It incorporates a beautiful design of a kingfisher and a fish, honouring the natural
environment of Cluxewe, by renowned Kwakiutl artist, Richard
Hunt.
Wireless
Internet. After several weeks of being down in the late summer of 2011, our wireless internet service to most campsites and cabins has been restored.
"No
Pets" Policy in and around our Cabins. This
policy continues, although pets are welcome in the campground as long as
they are on leashes and owners clean up after them. We regret having to do this,
but clean-up (and other) problems persisted and, for the comfort of other guests,
we've had to make our cabins and the environment around them "pet free."
2009
News:
August
Long Weekend Celebration. This event
was a huge success and featured our 4th Annual
Bocce Ball Tournament and a visit by Tundra
the wolf.
Many
Waterfront Campsites Now Have Water and Power. Many
of our most popular campsites have had water and power added. Stay in more comfort
in waterfront sites 50 through 57.
What's
Cluxewe Like the Rest of the Year? We get this question a lot, so we've had
a lovely slideshow
developed (with musical accompaniment) showing you the Resort through the year
- winter as well as summer. You will need Adobe
Flash to view the presentation.
Other Improvements: We've done the following
in the last few years to make your visit more comfortable and fun:
