Guest Policies and Frequently Asked Questions

Flyfishing is a major attraction at Cluxewe Resort during August and September

Guest Policies

  • Quiet time is 10 pm. Many of our guests are early risers. This is a family resort, and we strongly discourage loud music, rude language, and bad behaviour at any time.
  • Check in time is 3 pm for sites and cabins.
  • Check out time is 11 am for sites and cabins.
  • Absolutely no generators to be used at Cluxewe Resort from May 1 to September 30.
  • No dirt bikes and no ATV's are permitted in campground, on trails, or on the beach.
  • Pets must be leashed at all times and not left unattended. Please clean up after your pet.
  • Please do not clean fish in campsites, washrooms, or sani-stations.
  • Accompany children under six using the restrooms. We ask your help in keeping the restrooms and showers neat and clean. Please report any damage or untidiness to our staff.
  • Swim at your own risk -- there is no lifeguard on duty; please accompany and stay with all children under twelve at the beach or river.
  • There is no smoking in any of our buildings.
  • Only one RV to a site and one small tent.
  • Please adhere to the roads and pathways. Respect other guests' privacy and do not trespass on occupied sites.
  • RV sites must be kept clean. Foodstuffs or garbage are not to be left outside.
  • No tenting outside any cabins.
  • Minors are not permitted to camp unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  • Please keep food, drinks, and glass containers out of the beach area.
  • We ask that guests do not move firepits.
  • Unregistered guests may visit friends or enjoy our scenery; however, we do ask that they stop in the office and let us know about their visit. There is usually ample parking near the office - do not park in campsites or block accesses.
  • There is a charge to use the sani-dump. Guests who are registered in unserviced sites must pay a fee to dispose of waste.
  • There are monthly rentals available for both cottages (offseason) and campsites (year round). Ask about rates and policies at the office.

The perfume of wild Nootka roses fills the Cluxewe spit in May and June.
